Accessibility statement

A charity for adults living with disabilities should have a website that everybody can use. Here's what we do, and how to tell us when we fall short.

What we aim for

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. That means strong colour contrast, large readable text, clear headings, and content that works with screen readers and magnification.

Keyboard and screen readers

Every link, button and form field can be reached and used with a keyboard.
A visible focus outline shows where you are on the page.
A "skip to main content" link appears when you first press Tab.
Images carry descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
Forms announce errors in text, not colour alone.

Motion

Animations are gentle and are switched off automatically if your device is set to reduce motion.
